Joan May McGuire passed away May 25, 2016, at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington.-á She was 84 years old. She leaves behind her daughter and primary caregiver for the past eight years, Joan Mardell Steen of Gold Bar, Washington, four other children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as friends and relatives. She was born May 6, 1939 in Seattle, WA. Her parents, Eugene Cummings and Gladys Gray, lived in the Richmond Beach Area.-á She attended school in the Richmond Beach area as well as on the Chief Sealth Reservation.-á She married James Marlette and moved to Duvall, WA for 13 years.-á Following a divorce, she married Charles McGuire and moved to Reno, Nevada, where she worked as a healthcare worker. Survivors are sons Jerry Marlette (Duvall), John Mark, Woodinville, and daughters Joan Mardell Steen (Gold Bar), Judith Burlingame (Duvall), Jenice Leonard (Warner Robins, Georgia).-á She is preceded in death by her parents and her oldest son, James Marlette. No memorial services will be held at the deceased's wishes.
