Party like it's Super Bowl XLIX | Super Bowl events

It was nothing less than spectacular. And ever since the Seattle Seahawks achieved their show-stopping win against the Green Bay Packers on Jan. 18, people around Monroe and the greater Sky Valley area have been busily making plans for the Super Bowl. From housewarming parties to restaurants to church gatherings, there are a lot of options for those who prefer to cheer on the Hawks in a group setting.
Sultan newlywed Carly Ann Green and her husband, Brad, are looking forward to having a few friends over to their newly remodeled home.
"We will be breaking in the new floors with a Seahawks Super Bowl home-warming party, and we really want to meet our new neighbors who have awesome green and blue spotlights on their home,GÇ¥ Carly said.
Others plan on staying home and honoring their own traditions.
"I plan on doing what I've done for the last five years,GÇ¥ said Gold Bar resident Jason Burnett. "Staying home and listening to Steve Raible and Warren Moon call the game on KIRO Radio. It's so much better than listening to those yay-hoos on the national broadcast.GÇ¥
The game will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1.

First Baptist Church in Monroe

FBC will have three big-screen televisions ready to air the big game. Chairs are available, but guests are welcome to bring their own if they like, along with any other items of comfort, including blankets and pillows. The church is asking that people arrive by 3 p.m. so that they have plenty of time to secure a spot and get set up. The event is a potluck, so guests are being asked to bring food to share. Hot dishes and soups are recommended; beverages will be provided by the church.
This Super Bowl party is family-friendly, and the church will have some toys available to keep the little ones busy during the game.

Adam's Northwest Bistro and Brewery in Monroe

Adam's will host a special Super Bowl event at the Twin Rivers Brewing Co., which is attached to the main restaurant. The game will be shown on its large-sized projection screen, and $3 pints of beer will be available all day. To make sure nobody goes hungry, Chef Adam Hoffman will have a variety of special food items available to order.

Sahara Pizza Monroe

Sahara Pizza Monroe can accommodate those who prefer to watch the game at home, as well as those who would like to come watch the game with friends. It is offering 20-percent off deliveries and carry-out orders that are placed 24 hours or more, in advance of the game. They have two 60-inch, flat-screen televisions in the restaurant, and different seating options are available.
Tables can be reserved for four to 16 people, provided they pre-order their food for dining in the restaurant. Booths may be reserved for parties of four to six people.

Bubba's Roadhouse Bar & Grill

Wanting to accommodate his customers and ensure that they are able to enjoy Seahawks games in style, Bubba recently purchased a new high-definition, widescreen projector. He shifted his existing projector into the game room, and purchased a new flat-screen television for behind the bar.

The Sky Valley Eagles in Sultan

The Eagles Club in Sultan will be hosting a family-friendly potluck event on game day. There will be drink specials, raffles and free giveaways at the end of every quarter. Adults and children are welcome to attend. Seahawks-related drinks include the Sherman & Wilson, the Lynch Lemonade and the Wham Bam Thank You Kam.

Paula's Wine Knot Beer and Wine Bar in Monroe

Paula Peak will host a family-friendly event; minors are welcome as long as they are supervised by an adult. Doors open at 2 p.m., and admission will be granted with the order of an appetizer. The game will be aired on a 6-foot-by-10-foot screen with surround sound. Paula features more than "100 bottles of beer on the wall,GÇ¥ plus 12 craft beers on tap.
