Philip Meek, born July 2, 1930 in Arlington, MA went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2018, passing peacefully with his family by his side. Phil leaves the love of his life, Clara, his wife of 69 years, who he met in 1946. Phil and Clara lived in the Monroe/Bothell area for more than 50 years. They moved their family to Monroe in 1968 after retiring from the Air Force with 20 years of service. Phil loved life; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, coaching Little League and watching sports.
Phil is survived by his wife Clara, sons Phil (Susie), John, Gary (Peggy) and Bob plus ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Phil was preceded in death by his son Don and grandson Dawny Jo .
A Celebration of Life (potluck – please bring your favorite dish) will be held at the Monroe Senior Center (276 Sky River Pkwy, Monroe, WA 98272) on February 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM and a military service and placement of his ashes will be held at 11:30 AM on February 26, 2018 at Tahoma National Cemetery (18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042).
