Sky Valley Senior Center upgrades lunch offerings

Lunch is served at the Sky Valley Senior Center (617 First St.) in Sultan.
Under new management since December, the Sky Valley Senior Center has enhanced its lunch program by offering freshly made-from-scratch meals from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Monday through Thursday.
Lunch costs $4 for members and $6 for nonmembers, with all the proceeds funneling directly back into the organization to help ensure its future.
Volunteers of America Kitchen Coordinator Ann Marie Bunch and volunteer chef Don Langhans have launched the new home-cooked, fresh-ingredient initiative as a way to promote health and eating local. Lunch typically includes a hot entr+¬e, dessert, salad bar, beverage and soup.
