Fantasy Lights opens early this year

Holiday event Fantasy Lights at Spanaway Park opened early this year on Saturday.

Visitors can experience the annual event from the safety of their car at this year's event, which is now in its 26^th season, according to a press release. This year’s Fantasy Lights at Spanaway Park is open from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. through Jan. 3.
Cost per vehicle paid at entry is $15 through Nov. 29, Dec. 6 through Dec. 10 and Dec. 13 through Dec. 17 or $20 during Dec. 4 and Dec. 5, Dec. 11 and Dec. 12 and Dec. 18 through Dec. 27.

The number of discount nights has been expanded to 11. They include Nov. 30 through Dec. 3 and Dec. 28 through Jan. 3. Admission for all vehicles (non-bus) those nights is $10.

People can receive $3 off through a pre-paid “contact-free” option available online at the event website, www.piercecountywa.gov/fantasylights.

Spanaway Park is located at 14905 Bresemann Blvd. S. in Tacoma. According to a press release, the
experience features more than 300 displays, LED technology and digital animations. Guests tune their radios to AM 1700 upon entering to hear a variety of holiday music.
