Lady Cruiser fastpitch stays hot

Alina Quinney collected four hits as the Lady Cruiser Fastpitch team defeated the Enumclaw Hornets 29-10, April 13.

The Cruisers collected 31 hits in the high-scoring affair.

Quinney hit a home run in the second, doubled in the fifth and hit two triples in the seventh inning. She drove in a total of seven runs on the day.

Berkeley Porter continued her hot hitting by going 6-6 at the plate and driving in four runs.

Senior pitcher Haley Olson picked up the win for the Cruisers. She surrendered eight runs on 10 hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one. Porter threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

The Cruisers hosted the Fife Trojans, Thursday, and Alina Quinney hit her third home run of the season as Eatonville picked up its third win of the season, 14-3.

Brooke Blocker hit her first home run of the season, while Hailey Rath hit her third.

Porter picked up another three hits in the game. As of last week, Porter was batting a blistering .778, going 14-for-18 at the plate to lead the team.

Olson pitched the distance for the Cruisers. She gave up only three runs on five hits and struck out one in five innings to earn her team-leading third win of the season.

Next up for the Lady Cruisers is a home game against the Clover Park Warriors today. They then they travel to Tacoma to take on the Foss Falcons on Friday. They will begin next week with a home game against Franklin Pierce on Monday. Start time is 4 p.m.
