Girls Basketball

The girls went 2-1 on the week with wins over the Foss Falcons, 45-17, and Orting Cardinals, 45-32, before dropping a game to the Franklin Pierce Cardinals, 57-38. The Cruisers are now 4-1 on the season.

The high scorers in each of the games were:

• Hailey Rath with 20 points and Sophia Henley with 13 against Foss.

• Rath with 22 points and Henley with nine against Orting.

• Rath with 17 points and Gionna Mervyn with nine against Franklin Pierce.

Next up: The Lady Cruisers will travel to Clover Park to play at 7 p.m. today before ending the week hosting Morton/White Pass at 5:15 p.m. Saturday.

 

Boys Basketball

Last week, the boys dropped both of their contests, first to the Orting Cardinals, 50-47, and then the Franklin Pierce Cardinals, 57-38. The Cruisers are now 1-4 on the season.

High scorers:

• Shay Brannon scored 20 points, with Reilly McIlraith and Griffin Clevenger chipping in with seven each against Orting.

• Brannon led the Cruisers with 16 points, and Kyle Cox scored nine against Franklin Pierce.

Next up: The Cruisers host Clover Park at 7 p.m. today and Morton/White Pass at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

 

Wrestling

The wrestling team had two meets this week, but the league has chosen not to have overall team scores until the end of the season league championship meet on June 5.
