Anita J. Dawkins 1954 - 2021

Anita J. Dawkins passed away on September 7th, 2021 at the age of 66. Her death, while unexpected was peaceful and she drifted off into the great beyond safe in her home with her two beloved cats Mamie and Max. Anita is survived by 3 brothers and 1 sister as well as many nieces/nephews and several grandnieces/nephews. Anita’s laughter will be missed. It was infectious, heard often and full of delight at the simple things. Her notes, cards, and thoughtful messages to family and friends reminded us all how often she thought of us and was sending loving thoughts our way. She loved spending time in the company of good friends and family. Anita was born on December 10th, 1954 in Eatonville, Washington to Jess and Madora Dawkins. One of six siblings, she spent her growing up years in Eatonville and later attended Pacific Lutheran University and Central Washington University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science and became a certified paramedic. Moving between careers as a paramedic, phlebotomist and customer care specialist kept her in the Seattle, Tacoma area for her adult years. Her colleagues and friends at REI where she worked for 20+ years will miss her deeply. Anita’s being was rooted in caring for others.
