The Eatonville boys' wrestling team showcased their prowess at the Patriot Dome tournament hosted by Washington High School, while the girls' team made a notable appearance at the Jump On In 2023 tournament at Yelm High School.
In a remarkable performance, seven varsity wrestlers from Eatonville secured top-five finishes at the Patriot Dome tournament:
• Kasey Whitney emerged victorious, claiming the 1st place title in the 144-pound category.
• Jake Ostendorf displayed resilience, earning a 2nd place finish at 165 pounds.
• Trey Sta Rosa secured a 3rd place spot in the 157-pound category.
• Ethan Rogers fought hard and earned a 3rd place finish at 190 pounds.
• Bryan Boers, wrestling in the 106-pound division, claimed a respectable 5th place.
• Jaxon Wood and Jameson Beckord also secured 5th place finishes at 120 and 175 pounds, respectively.

The junior varsity wrestlers also made their mark with five athletes placing in the top five:

• Asher Pruitt, Haven Rovang, and Dominic Futch all claimed 5th place finishes in their respective weight classes.

Meanwhile, the Eatonville girls' wrestling team, represented by only one wrestler, saw a standout performance by Brooke Ostendorf at the Jump On In 2023 tournament. Ostendorf, competing in the 3rd place match after an impressive run, secured her podium finish by pinning her opponents in every match.
After receiving a bye in the first round, Ostendorf faced off against Decatur's Jayden Fogelquist in the quarterfinals, pinning Fogelquist and advancing to the semifinals. Although Ostendorf faced a setback against Everett High School's Sienna Kuehn in the semis, she rebounded in the consolation bracket, securing a 3rd place finish by pinning Sawyer Littlewood from Everett High School.
Looking ahead, both the boys' and girls' teams are set to compete in La Grande, Oregon, on December 8th and 9th. The girls' team will participate in the Safeway Belt Buckle Classic at Eastern Oregon University, while the boys' team is geared up for the Muilenburg Wrestling Tournament at La Grande High School.
