After a successful season, both the boys and girls track teams had impressive showings at the 1A Evergreen League Championship meet this past Friday.
Teams from the five schools in the league competed at Montesano High School in hopes of qualifying for the 1A Southwestern Washington District 4 meet that will be held Thursday at Seton Catholic High School in Vancouver
Eatonville had 30 athletes qualify for the district meet.
The Cruisers had seven athletes and two relay teams capture league championships on the day and qualify for the district championships. Those athletes/teams were Ky Nation in the 100 meters, Kyle Cox in the shot put and Logan Taylor in the high jump. In addition, the 4x100-meter relay team of Cole Bamford, Walker Bruun, Riley Hill and Nation also won a league title. Girls who won championships were Hannah Hanson in the 100 meters, Lily Lightfoot in the 100-meter hurdles, Brooke Blocker in the javelin and Hannah Kralik in the pole vault. In addition, the 4x400-meter relay team of Haley Courson, Rilynne Johnson, Davany Olson and Sienna Henkel.
The boys team also captured the overall league team championship, with the girls finishing second place.
