The post-season hopes of Eatonville High School's girls soccer team will bloom or wilt Tuesday in a first-round match in the 1A District 4 playoffs. The Cruisers and the La Center Wildcats will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Art Crate Field, the Bethel School District's soccer/football venue. The winning team will advance to the second round with a chance to reach the state tournament. The loser's season will be over. Eatonville qualified for the district competition by finishing third in the Evergreen League's regular-season standings with a 10-4 record (10-5 overall). The survivor of the Eatonville-La Center match will face King's Way Christian on Nov. 5 in a second-round contest. The winner of that one will clinch a berth in the state tourney, while the loser will have one more match Nov. 7 in which the victor will earn the district's third and final state ticket. All of the Nov. 5 and Nov. 7 matches will be played at Montesano High.
