Jean Ann Miller

Jean Ann Miller, 65, of Eatonville, WA. passed away Tuesday August 7, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. Jean Ann was born on December 3, 1946 to George and Madge Van Cleve. She grew up in Eatonville and graduated from Eatonville High School in 1965. She and her husband, Jim Miller, spent nearly all their 47 years of marriage living in the Eatonville area. Jean Ann served as Secretary to the Superintendent at Eatonville School District for six years. Her exceptional talents were also put to good use as the bookkeeper of their family owned business; Miller Logging Company. She was a gourmet cook and skilled seamstress. She also had a passion for horses, dogs and cats. Over the years Jim and Jean Ann had a total of 6 beautiful German Shepherds. Starting in 1978, Jim and Jean Ann lived and worked in Liberia, on the west coast of Africa on three different occasions over a ten year period. They also traveled extensively to Africa , Europe, Mexico and South America making many friends wherever they went. Jim and family wish to extend sincere Thanks to care givers Madeling Potts and Martha Jimenez, also to Becky Blodgett, ARNP and the doctors, nurses and staff of "Good SamGÇ¥. Jean Ann was preceded in death by her parents; George and Madge Van Cleve, brothers George "LadGÇ¥ Van Cleve and Jim Van Cleve and niece Lola Van Cleve. She is survived by her husband Jim, sister Ruthie (Rich) Williams of Olympia, sister-in-law Rosemarie (Lad) Van Cleve of Eatonville and Joan (Jim) Van Cleve of Morton, and her many nieces and nephews of the Miller and Van Cleve families. At Jean Ann's request, no services will be held. The private inurnment will take place at Mountain View Memorial Park in Tacoma, Washington.
