Ray Henricksen/January 31, 1928-May 12, 2016

Ray was born in Eatonville WA on January 31, 1928 and passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on May 12, 2016. He graduated from Eatonville High School and remained close friends throughout the years with his classmates. Shortly after high school Ray entered into the logging industry. In the 1960's Ray branched out into road building and land clearing, and during that time he and Jackie owned and operated two convalescent homes in Oregon. Loving the outdoors as he did, and always looking ahead for new adventures, it was then that he owned and operated Lynch Creek Quarry in Eatonville with his son Mark and daughter Terry for several years. One of his biggest ventures was when he, Jackie, Mark & Terry built Tanwax Greens golf course on their property. The course opened in 1996, it was quite an accomplishment. When most reach their 70's they retire, not Ray he decided to take on one more big job where he stayed in a motel during the week to build roads in a land development in Cle Elem. From there he semi-retired and took on an occasional local road job, Ray was never one to stop and rest, at 85 years old he could still be found tinkering around in his shop or working out on his property. Ray was preceded in death by his wife Jackie of 67 years. He is survived by his sons Larry (Lisa), Mark (Katy), daughters Susan, Gaille (Gary) Finley, Terry (Jim) Hatton, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. There will be a private family grave side service at Bethany Cemetery where Ray will be laid to rest. Condolences may be sent to PO Box 731, Eatonville 98328
