The Roy Pioneer Rodeo, featuring such events as bareback riding, calf roping, steer roping and bull riding, will be held Aug. 30-31. Gates at the rodeo arena will open at noon each day, with competition starting at 1:30. South Pierce Fire and Rescue has two fund-raisers planned in conjunction with the Roy Rodeo GÇô a cowboy breakfast Aug. 30-31 from 7 to 11 a.m. and a spaghetti dinner Aug. 30 from 4 to 7 p.m.. Both will be held at the Roy Fire Station on Mcnaught Street, and prices will be the same for each (adults $6, seniors and chidlren 10 and under $3).
