South Pierce County’s turn to be the location of a County Council meeting comes up Sept. 26.
The council will hold one of its in-district meetings at 6 p.m. in Spanaway at the Pierce County Public Works Central Maintenance Facility, which is at 4812 196th St. E. The location is is Council District 3, which includes Graham, and Eatonville and other communities in the south end of the county.
Each member of the council hosts at least one in-district meeting each year to make council business more accessible to residents, according to the council.
One of the main items on the agenda for the meeting in Spanaway is a chronic-nuisance ordinance that officials say would expedite enforcement and abatement processes for nuisance properties countywide.
Also on the agenda are presentations on:
• Changing Rein, a horse-assisted activities and therapy organization.
• The county fair, which is held annually in Graham.
• The Frederickson Land Use Advisory Commission, which advises county officials on development-related issues in the Frederickson area.
