Born September 6, 1931 in Maple Valley, WA, to Dexter and Lida (Ellenwood) Fore, Don passed away on April 24, 2019 at his home in Raymond, WA. He spent the majority
of his childhood growing up in Maple Valley,WA but his family moved to Ocasta, WA when Don was a teenager. Don worked in the timber industry from 1950 to 1952 and then
enlisted in the Army. He served from 1952 to 1955 in the Army Security Agency and was stationed at Ft Riley, KS, Ft Devon, MA, Ft Belvoir, VA and Ft Bragg, NC. He was discharged at Ft Bragg, NC at the rank of Sgt.E-5

Don was preceeded in death by his parents, brothers Robert and Norman, sister Marie Inez and his first wife, Beulah Marie. Surviving is his wife Lou Anne of their home in
Raymond, WA, sister Arlea (Tedd) Krasovetz, nephews Glenn Borden, Gregg Borden and Bob (Candy) Fore; nieces Rhondi (David) Lush, Linda Fore, Marilyn (Jack) Walston, and Shelly (Keith) Werner. Other survivors include great-nephews Glenn Brandon (Mandy) Borden, Riley (Vanessa) Borden, Sara Borden, Katie (Alex) Herzog, Willie (Kaaryn) Fore, Jacob Lush, Jared Vail, Sheena (Wes) Smith and Kiana (Josh) King. His extended family includes sisters-in-law Delores Weir and Bette Lyday, nieces Denise (Alex) Avgeres, Kathy (Tom) Brobst, Deborah Lyday, Donna (Mike) Wheelock, Deanna (Dan) Dawkins, Patty Johnson and their families.

Don was always an avid fisherman and hunter, spending much time on the rivers, lakes and mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Don spent several years after his military
service in the logging industry, then went to work for the Federal government at the jewel of the Pacific Northwest, Mount Rainier, where he spent 27 years until his retirement. For many years he was a “snowbird” traveling to Arizona enjoying the warm climate and good fishing at Alamo Lake.

Don was a 49-year member of Lions International, Past Commander of American Legion Storm King Post 171 (Mineral, WA), Past Commander of American Legion
Post 150 (Raymond, WA), American Legion Post 150 Honor Guard, life member of Mt. Tahoma #190 Masonic Lodge, life member of NRA and member of Willapa United Methodist Church in Raymond, WA.

A graveside service will be held at the Mineral Cemetery on Saturday, May 18th at 11:00am. A reception will follow at the Lodge.
