The Cruiser Fastpitch team finished off the regular season by hosting the final two games at home. The first game was against the Fife Trojans on Wednesday, May 1.

Eatonville ran off with the lead late in the game and took the 6-3 victory. The game was tied at two with the Cruisers batting in the bottom of the fifth when Brooklynn Lucht drew a walk, scoring one run. 

In the bottom of the third inning, they tied things up at two. An error scored two runs for the Cruisers.

Haley Olson picked up the win. She allowed seven hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. 
Kaitlyn Rath hit a home run for the Cruisers in the fifth inning. 

Eatonville tallied six hits in the game. Sisters Kaitlyn Rath and Haley Rath both managed multiple hits in the game. Kaitlyn Rath went three-for-three at the plate to lead the Cruisers in hits.

A second defeat leads to No. 1 spot in SPSL

The Cruisers finished up the week playing against the Washington Patriots.

Eatonville defeated Washington 15-0 on Thursday, May 2, as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Berkeley Porter got Whitaker to hit into a fielder's choice to finish off the game. 

Haley Rath collected four hits in four at bat, which helped lead Eatonville past the Patriots. She doubled twice in the first, doubled in the third and singled in the fourth. 

The Cruisers fired up the offense in the first inning. Mary Chabot drove in one when she doubled. 

Olson pitched Eatonville to another victory. She surrendered zero runs on three hits over four innings, striking out three and walking zero. Porter threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. 

Hailey Rath led Eatonville with four hits in four at-bats. The Cruisers were perfect in the field and didn't commit a single error. 

That win pushed the Cruisers overall season record to 18-2, or 13-0 in league play. They have clinched the No. 1 seed in the 2019 South Puget Sound League 2A tournament. They will host the winner of the Franklin Pierce vs. Tyee game-winner on Wednesday, May 8. Time to be determined.
