Bonnie Leona Foss, 72, of Monroe, WA, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2014.
A memorial service will be held on October 25 at 4 p.m. at Cascade Community Church. A reception will follow.
Bonnie was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 4, 1942. She graduated from Santa Maria High School and soon after married Allen Foss on November 4, 1961. They were married for 30 years. Bonnie and Allen raised four children while living in San Gabriel and Temple City, California; and Bellevue, Sedro Woolley, Newhalem and Concrete, Washington. Bonnie also resided in Mt. Vernon and Monroe, Washington.
Bonnie was a homemaker for over 20 years before working for the National Park Service, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed train travel, crafting, reading, bargain hunting, playing card games and Bunco, volunteering in her daughter's classroom, but most of all hanging out with her grandchildren! She was also actively involved in the Red Hats and the East County Senior Center.
Bonnie is survived by her four children, Steve (Redmond, WA), Phil (Colorado Springs, CO), Doug (Buckeye, AZ) and Denyse (Monroe, WA); two daughters-in-law, Samara Foss and Anne Foss; one son-in-law, Jason Hutchinson; eight beautiful grandchildren, Joseph, Amanda, Jessica, Chris, Cameron, Carson, Oliver and Max; and one adorable great-grandson, Jaxon. She is also survived by two step-granddaughters, Cassidy and Hayley and many loving cousins and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. The family of Bonnie Foss wishes to thank the preceding organizations as well as Providence Hospital, Regency Care Center of Monroe, Visiting Angels and Providence Hospice Care.
