Earl William Shreve, born Oct. 29, 1922 in Baker, MT, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on Feb. 17, 2015 in Monroe, WA.-á Earl proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII.-á Earl was Flight Engineer on the historical, popular, "Lady Liberty,GÇ¥ completing 29 bombing runs.-á He earned the rank of Tech Sergeant, receiving 3 Gold Clusters.-á At this time in England, he met and married the love of his life, Marjorie Cresswell, who was in the Royal Air Force.-á After the war, Earl graduated from Oregon State University, and went on to work as an engineer for Standard Oil Company of California.-á He was an expert wood engineer and enjoyed building things and spending time with his family.-á Earl retired at age 55 and built his own motorhome.
Earl was a loving and supporting man for many friends and his family.-á Earl and Marjorie were great examples of how a loving marriage should be.-á Earl is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Marjorie, daughter Jeanette Eaton (Don), son Dale Shreve (Cindy), grandchildren Bob Eaton (Brendee), Terry Eaton (Cate), Autumn Shreve, and Rose Shreve, great-grandchildren Holly, Maddy, Sophy, Josh, Megan, and Montana.-á A celebration of Earl's life will be held on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at 1pm at First Baptist Church of Monroe, 17922 GÇô 149th St. SE, Monroe.
