Trees are blooming everywhere in the Sky Valley, and spring is truly springing.
With spring comes Easter, and Sultan and Monroe are gearing up for the annual community Easter egg hunts.
Here is what is planned, so that you can plan a pleasant day with your kids, or perhaps as a volunteer.
Monroe
Monroe's 18th Annual Egg Hunt will take place Saturday, April 19 at Lake Tye Park. The event will begin at 9 a.m. with activities, games, face painting, and arts and crafts. Also, the Easter Bunny will be on hand for visits and photos.
The hunt begins at 10 a.m., and is open to all kids 10 and under.

Sultan
The annual hunt will take place Saturday, April 19 at River Park at 100 1st St. in Sultan.
The festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with street games, face painting and arts and crafts.
Local businesses will have booths promoting local shopping.
The Easter Bunny will arrive on a fire truck at 11:30 a.m. for photos and to meet the children.
Then it's time to hit the fields! The fields will be divided by age group, and the hunt begins at noon.
Once all the plastic eggs have been gathered and the prizes extracted, the plastic shells will be collected and recycled for next year.
The hunt is sponsored by the Rotary Club and the local volunteer firefighter association, as well as by contributions by local businesses and citizens.
The city could still use lots of new plastic eggs, and the candy to go in them. If you would like to donate, please drop off Easter supplies at the Visitor Information Center, 320 Main St., through April 12.
