Mildred L. Kriegel, born March 6, 1924 in Anchorage, Alaska, died on July 9, 2014 in Monroe of heart failure.
Having lost her mother at birth, Mildred was raised by her grandparents in the Monroe area. She married Ed Kriegel and they had four children, Pat, Margaret, Tom and Mary. Ed and Mary both preceded her.
Besides her children, Mildred leaves 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many good friends.
Mildred was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15, from 1 GÇô 7 p.m. at Purdy & Kerr with Dawson Funeral Home, 409 W. Main St., Monroe, 360-794-7049. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Valley Catholic Church, 601 W. Columbia St., Monroe.
