The Monroe Rod and Gun Club will host its annual kids fishing derby 9-11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at the old Dale Reiner’s pond south of the Lewis Street Bridge.
The derby is free, and there will be prizes and hot dogs and pop for kids. There are three divisions: 0-6, 7-9 and 10-12.
Junior fishers are asked to bring their own gear.
Take the first left turn after crossing the Lewis Street Bridge, and keep an eye out for directional signs.
