Shawn Eric Carlson
1965-2014
Our beloved Shawn was freed from his struggles with diabetes and passed on to peace on July 4 with his family at his side.
Shawn leaves behind his parents, Mike and Hope Petree; sisters, Shannon Carlson Tait (Mike Tait) and Jennifer Petree Smith (Phillip Smith). He also leaves behind his nieces, Delaney and Hannah Davis, Alyssa McGrath and many great friends.
A celebration of Shawn's life will be held on Saturday July 19, 2 GÇô 5 p.m. at the Monroe Senior Center.
Dessert and coffee will be served.
A Sportsman Prayer-
God grant that I may live to fish until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast, then I most humbly pray.
When in the Lord's safe landing net, I am peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy, I be judged big enough to keep.
