The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reports an 18-year-old man was arrested for first-degree DUI after he drove his truck through the front doors of Glacier Peak High School on Sunday afternoon.

The collision took place just before noon on June 10, and sheriff’s spokesperson Shari Ireton tells the Monitor witnesses said the suspect had been smoking marijuana the night before.

Following the collision, the Snohomish man was taken to Providence Hospital for evaluation.

GPHS graduation takes place Monday night at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett.

The Monitor is attempting to find out from the school district whether the suspect was a student at Glacier Peak and an estimate of the damage.
