WNPA awards went winningly well for Monitor, RIM

By Kathie Savelesky, Office Manager. -áThe past year was no exception to the rule for Monroe Monitor Editor Polly Keary, who added a few more awards for her wall at the Washington Newspaper Publishers Association Better Newspaper Contest Dinner on Oct. 4.
Keary hauled in six awards this year, including Finalist in the coveted Feature Writer of the Year category.
Angela Nickerson, designer for the Monroe Monitor, earned a third place award for the Dec. 11, 2012 front page of the Monitor.
The awards validated the RIM family of newspapers' dedication to quality journalism, as Monitor sister papers the Capitol Hill Times and Eatonville Dispatch both earned awards for their publications.
