Delores Divelbiss Chappell July 31, 1930 - January 1, 2020
Delores Grace Ball Divelbiss Chappell was born July 31, 1930 and passed away January 1, 2020 at her daughter Janet’s home, surrounded by her family. Delores was one of seven children born to Harry and Jessie Ball in Tacoma, Washington. She leaves behind her daughters Peggy (Glenn) Kays, Barbara (Michael) Smith, Beverlee (Greg) Martin and Janet Divelbiss.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Divelbiss; daughter, Carol Simpson; great granddaughter Madelyn Faith Salas; and her second husband, John Chappell.
Delores and Donald raised their family in Eatonville, Washington where they owned and operated Dairy Lane Farm. After Don’s passing, she worked at Plaza Market until retirement.
Mom loved to travel and was always ready to hit the casinos or head to the beach. The highlights of her day were visits with family and friends and her yearly Christmas party.
Along with her daughters, she leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren who will dearly miss her.
Services will be held Saturday, January 11, 9:30 am at Fir Lane Chapel. Reception following at Barbara and Michael Smith’s home.
