Girls Tennis

The Cruisers dropped a close one to White River, 3-2, March 28. Erin Mitchell won 6-2, 6-0 and Cassidy Foster won 6-0, 6-2. Tyson Cornwall and Teona Casul lost 4-6, 1-6. Emily Suver and Iva McCullough lost 4-6, 6-2, 10-4 (Tiebreaker third set). Ellie Manley and Faith Edmonds lost 1-6, 4-6.

On March 29, the Cruisers lost another close one, 3-2, to last year's district champions, the Tenino Beavers. McCullough won 6-0, 6-3. Suver and Susanna Stumph won 6-7, 6-4, 6-1. Casul lost 0-6, 1-6. Cornwall and Manley lost 6-4, 2-6, 3-6.

Eatonville finished off the week hosting the Montesano Bulldogs and came away with the same result, a 3-loss. Mitchell and Foster picked up wins in No. 1 and No. 2 singles. McCullough lost a three-setter at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 4-6, 0-6. Cornwall and Manley lost at No. 1 doubles, and Suver and Casul lost at No. 2 doubles.

 

Track & Field

Both the boys and girls teams walked from the meet at Tenin HS with first-place overall finishes.

 

Cameron Peace: 400-meters, first place

Kyle Cox: shot put, first

Jake Wood: discus and javelin, first

Justus Roulst: high jump, first

Emily Bennett: 10-meter hurdles, first

Hanson, Roulst, Kralik, Knoble: 4x100 relay, first

Kahler, Knoble, Benato, Hanson: 4x200 relay, first

Rylee Valentine: discus, first place
