Freeman upsets Eatonville, ending Cruisers’ postseason run

The Eatonville Cruisers scored first but ultimately failed to stop Freeman when needed and fell to the Scotties, 23-17, in the Class 1A state football quarterfinals, ending the Cruisers’ season.

Cruisers shut out Leopards, advance to state quarterfinals

The Eatonville Cruisers’ “bend-don’t-break” defense stopped Zillah at the goal line three times Friday, and the offense exploded for 28 points as Eatonville recorded its first shutout of the season to defeat the Zillah Leopards, 28-0, and advance to the quarterfinals of the WIAA 1A state football playoffs.

Results not finalized, but race outcomes determined following general election

While the final votes have yet to be counted in the Nov. 8 general election, winners have been decided in each of the state’s contested races.

Get Growing: A bee-friendly bulb lawn

Cruisers compete at state cross country meet

After having a successful season, the Eatonville Cruiser cross country team sent seven runners to the 1A state meet this past Saturday at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco. A total of 363 runners, both boys and girls, competed.

Cruisers earn trip to state playoffs

While the wet and windy weather the state experienced Friday slowed and hampered many teams around the state, the Eatonville Cruisers battled through it successfully.

Eatonville to face a once-familiar foe in state football playoffs

Following their 24-18 victory over the Castle Rock Rockets on Friday, the Eatonville Cruisers clinched a berth into the state playoffs. The state seeding committee met on Sunday to seed the 16 qualified teams and awarded the Cruisers the No. 4 seed.

Eatonville clinches share of title, advances to playoffs

After being sidelined for the last two weeks because of game cancelations, the Eatonville Cruiser football team took out their frustrations on visiting Hoquiam to the tune of a 42-7 shellacking of the Grizzlies to clinch a share of the 1A Evergreen Conference title on Thursday night.
