Supporters of a public park planned in the Frederickson area will host a spaghetti feed and auction fund-raiser May 29 at Clover Creek Elementary School. From 5 to 8 p.m., individuals 13 years old and up can eat for $8. The price is $5 for 5-to-12-year olds, and there's no charge for kids under 5. Information on donations for the auction is available at 253-848-8883. Friends of Stan and Joan Cross Park, a non-profit organization, is the event's organizer and a leading proponent of the park. Pierce County has planned the park for a 64-acre site at 4418 Military Road, but development is on hold because of a lack of public funds. Park supporters are raising money to help start construction.
