Snyder, Cruisers outrun competition

Eatonvillle High School's girls cross country team, led by individual champion Isabelle Snyder, won the Evergreen League championship for the second year in a row Thursday. In a virtual photo-finish, Snyder, a sophomore, crossed the finish line of the course in Montesano just ahead of teammate Emma Vuksich. Both were clocked in 20 minutes 37 seconds. Faith Vuksich (eighth) gave the Cruisers a third top-10 finisher. Eatonville finished third in the boys' meet. Both Eatonville squads will compete in the 1A District 4 meet Oct. 31 in Woodland.
