After three years, Brad and Sarah Cole are stepping down as coordinators for the Daffodil Festival community float for Eatonville.

Eatonville has participated in the annual Daffodil Festival for years and crowns an Eatonville High School Daffodil Princess to serve on the festival court. Community volunteers are needed if the town is going to have a float in this year’s Daffodil Parade, April 1, and crown a princess for the 2024 festival.

“My husband and I used this project as a way to build community by bringing volunteers together who were from opposite sides of the political spectrum,” Sarah Cole said in an email. “We feel very strongly that opportunities like this can make a big difference in our divided community (as we’ve experienced). We are afraid that we’re about to lose the ground we gained if no one steps up to coordinate.”

Contact the Eatonville High School main office, 360-879-1200, for more information, or email Sarah Cole at s.cole@eatonville.wednet.edu.
