Cruiser boys defeat rival Cardinals, head to Alaska next

Despite their efforts, the Cruisers couldn’t seal the win when they headed to Morton-White Pass Dec. 19 as they tried to make up for their earlier loss to the Timberwolves. Unfortunately, the T-Wolves had the Cruisers' number again as they downed Eatonville 95-70 in a non-league affair.

Lady Cruisers stay perfect at 6-0

The Eatonville Lady Cruiser basketball team kept up its winning ways taking down the Timberwolves for the second time this season, this time by a score of 57-47.

Mayor’s Notes: Exciting things happening in Eatonville

I hope everyone has had a great 2022! We have had a significant increase in community activity during the year, and there are several new organizations that are pursuing exciting improvement activities for the town. The following organizations were created in 2022:

Flu cases very high in Washington: DOH urges everyone take precautions

As hospitalizations and deaths from flu rise, DOH strongly encourages everyone eligible to get vaccinated

The Washington State Department of Health is informing Washingtonians that the flu is spreading at a high rate in Washington state right now. The current flu season is early this year, and flu deaths are at higher rates than usually seen at this point in the year. As of Dec. 10, 40 people have died from the flu in Washington including three children.

Airport opponents hosting town hall meeting

The Coalition Against Graham and Eatonville-Roy Airport is hosting a town hall meeting from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Jan. 13 at Graham- Kapowsin High School, 22100 108th Ave. E., Graham . Community members are invited to attend and participate in the dialog regarding a proposal to build an airport in the Graham and Eatonville area. Cruiser boys give new head coach his first victory

Behind the shooting of seniors Shay Brannon and Walker Bruun, the Eatonville Cruisers put their season-opening loss to Morton-White Pass behind them and took down the defending SWW1A district champions, the Castle Rock Rockets, 70-57, last Thursday night at Rainier Connect Arena.

Lady Cruisers win twice, extend streak to four

The Lady Cruisers extended their winning streak last week when they welcomed the Castle Rock Rockets to Rainier Connect Arena. The Cruisers weren’t very gracious hosts as they dismantled the Rockets 58-26 to improve to 3-0.

The Eatonville Cruisers ran into a buzzsaw Saturday night in their season opener when they hosted the Morton-White Pass Timberwolves. The T-Wolves torched the Cruisers, 103-61.

After having their season opener against the Morton-White Pass Wolves postponed and rescheduled because of the recent snowstorm, the Eatonville Lady Cruiser basketball team finally got their season underway last week when they hosted Foss High School in a non-league matchup, with the Cruisers trouncing the Falcons, 75-31, to give first-year head coach Deanna Andersen her first win.
